I don’t know why, but Texas cracked open my heart and made me fall in love with this big beautiful country of ours!! I was in awe before, now I understand why people go and give their life to keep our freedom.
Maybe it’s the vastness of the land here. My brother says Texas is the flattest state. I do believe he’s right!! Maybe it’s the fact that as far as my eye can see, there is no boundaries.
I can not say for sure why, I only know my heart is overflowing!!

The flat long road in Texas leads to the flat fast road in New Mexico then AZ….but you are almost at 6000 miles now ….what a great run …hope the Dragon Slayer is Ok and the good folks at Barnett can get her all fixed up… Ride safe
Come back and see us cause you missed some of the best parts. Piney Woods, Hill Country, the coast and Big Bend. Sounds like you didn’t mind the heat too much. Glad you haven’t had any major problems and get home safe.
Texas loves anyone who loves it. I have lived here all my life and have had several people ask me why I stay. I just tell them to stay for a few days and you’ll know why. Ya’ll come back every chance you get. We’ll still be here, drought and unbearable heat can’t make us leave. Stay safe, and I can say thank you from all of us Texans, for enjoying your trip here, leaving such a nice compliment for everyone to read, and for sharing your Journey with us.
Texas is all about hospitality. My Grama was from Texas, Her name was Dixie Nell.We use to have huge spreads there..The people are awesome..
